Piper laughs hysterically!

Piper laughs often but today she really went crazy with laughter! Of course, her doggie was at the heart of it.

Piper and Daddy spend mornings together without me. I sleep. Its the only way I can function! And they love their time together.

sunday night is shampoo night.

This weekend Piper May was very unhappy (for Piper May). She wanted to be held, nursed, and held some more. Nighttime sleep and naps were just about non-existent! Now this is probably a bit of an exaggeration based on the dark circles I see on most children and babies when we visit the mall. Children need sleep people! I probably have no idea how good we have it.

We had a hell of a time installing our new Britax convertible car seat. We just couldn't seem to get it level...
She got so tired of waiting to go out into the world that she just gave up...



Every weekend evening Piper gets her nighttime bath with her favorite guy, Daddy. Sundays are for shampoo.


It was hard to get her attention for a picture because she is very much into the water and various toys floating around in the water. She is ready to swim! Just a couple more days maybe and in the pool we go!

Oh also we are pretty sure Pi said "dada" on Saturday morning but we were too tired and out of it to tell for sure... and I was talking over her. Listen to the babies. We have a lot to learn from them.

Today Daddy chopped all his hair. He walked into the salon a cranky-puss and came out shiny and new. After, we walked down to the park in Dunedin and Piper had her first experience in a swing. She was rather apathetic about it but I think this is because she was sleep deprived and freezing cold. It was SO cold and windy!!!

Today Piper got to test drive on of her soon to be most common ways to travel: on Daddy-o's shoulders. I think its safe to say she enjoyed it.

intellectual conversations.

I am WAY behind on updates! I guess I have been choosing sleeping, eating, and going to the bathroom over blogging.

Right now Piper is in her favorite place... on Daddy's chest.

My Canon is full of pictures that I need to update. We had an awesome semi-surprise BBQ for Tyler and Eric's birthday last weekend and I need to blog that!

Piper is 5 weeks old and will be 6 weeks on Tuesday! She is very grown up for her age!

For now let me tell you what a great day we had today! Tanner came over and took some pictures of Piper. During the shoot, Piper decided she had to have a very important conversation with me. This went on for quite some time and Tyler got a small part of it on video:


(and yes... fellow small chested women... breastfeeding has many, many advantages)

She is such a sweet, happy girl. She has been smiling since probably 2 weeks if not earlier... here she is last Sunday being amazing:
